The college canteen, Tuckshop as it was popularly known, was one of the most frequented centres of the college campus. Since the principal wanted it to be a non-profit enterprise, it remained under his personal supervision, with a manger and a confectioner paid by the college. The words confectioner or baker were too "Angrezi" for our great Shadi, and he used to call him mistry and his product Samose were renamed Khamoshe. Withorders from the Principal the tuckshop supplied milk to the deserving sports teams, Basketball and Rowing regularly.
