Under the inspiring leadership of it founder Principal, Hazrat Sahibzada Mirza Nasir Ahmad, the college made a rapid progress in both academic and atheletic fields. The college hat some of the best debating teams in the University of the Punjab. Under the patronage of the principal and the leadership of Prof. Chaudhry Mohammad Ali the college Rowing team became the unchallenged champion of the Punjab University. Later when Chaudhry Sahib took over the Basketball club of the college, Prof. Chaudhry Hamid Ahmad worked hard and the college Rowing teams maintained their pround positions in both the University and the Board. When the post-gradulation classes started in the sixties, the college had the rare honour of having six of its students among the top ten in the M.A. Arabic examination. Post graduate classes in Physics were started a couple of years before Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad left the college as principal. With the untiring hard-work of Prof. Dr. Naseer Ahmad Khan the department of physics acquired some of the best science equipments in the country, of which even the Punjab University started feeling jealous.
